In our wedding catering in Mallorca, we believe that there are fundamental aspects that cannot be overlooked on your wedding day. While catering is important, it’s not everything. One of the essential aspects in creating the perfect atmosphere is the arrangement and setup of the tables. That’s why in this blog post of our catering in Mallorca, we will provide you with several ideas that can be of great help when it comes to organizing the layout and setup of the tables for this special day.

When you start planning a wedding and think about table placement and guest distribution, it’s essential to consider the characteristics of the venue where the event will take place. To do this effectively, it’s necessary to take into account various factors, such as the shape and size of the room or garden, the presence of obstacles or special elements, and the venue’s capacity to accommodate all attendees. Each space presents different circumstances that must be taken into account when planning the celebration.

Here are several options that you could use on your wedding day:

SQUARE TABLES

Tables of this style resemble the elongated tables, which we will explain later, but their maximum size is limited to around 10 to 12 people to ensure a harmonious arrangement with the rest of the tables. It’s important to consider the overall organization of the wedding to achieve a well-organized and balanced final setup.

In addition, these tables offer the opportunity to add a touch of originality through different tablecloths, such as runners or placemats, instead of traditional tablecloths.

ROUND TABLES

This is one of the most popular types of table setups for weddings. They are tables approximately 1.80 meters long that can accommodate 8 to 10 people. If you have fewer guests, it’s recommended to combine two tables or use smaller tables of 1.50 meters for 6 to 8 people. If round tables are chosen but you have more than 10 guests, 2-meter diameter tables can be used for up to 13 guests.

Distributing guests at tables can be a difficult task when organizing a wedding. It’s essential to have a clear idea of the desired table layout and establish a common pattern. If round tables are chosen, it’s ideal for most tables to seat 8-10 guests with some smaller tables for 6-8 guests or larger tables for 11-13 guests.

LONG TABLES

Long tables are becoming increasingly popular. These tables offer greater flexibility in terms of the number of guests they can accommodate and are ideal for narrow spaces where round tables cannot be used.

If you choose this type of table, there are three factors that influence your decision. You may like this particular design, the celebration venue may be narrow and round tables may not be an option, or you may want to gather large groups of friends or family and not want to separate them.

IMPERIAL TABLES

Imperial tables are not suitable for the complete setup of the celebration but can be used as an option for the head table. These tables are rectangular, and guests sit only on one side and at the heads. This way, the people at this table will be facing all the other tables, and no one will have their back to another table. The imperial table is commonly chosen for the bridal table, along with the traditional option of a round table where guests sit in a crescent shape to avoid turning their back to other tables and face other guests.

MIXED DISTRIBUTION

If you’re looking for a more modern and original style with a mix of different options, you don’t have to choose just one type of table. Instead, you can choose a combination of two or even three types of tables to create a unique and personalized design. You can even incorporate all the styles if you want. The choice will depend on your tastes and the image you want to project at your celebration.

In conclusion, at our wedding catering in Mallorca we believe that the setup and arrangement of tables at a wedding is a fundamental aspect that should be carefully considered to create a harmonious and balanced atmosphere. It is important to take into account the characteristics of the venue and the capacity to effectively accommodate all guests. Table options include square, round, elongated, imperial, and a combination of them to create a unique and personalized style. The choice will depend on the tastes and the image that you want to project at the celebration. Additionally, the use of different tablecloths can add a touch of originality to the decoration.
