This time, we want to share with you the trends that are going to revolutionize wedding banquets in 2023 and that, as a wedding catering in Mallorca, we are preparing for some of our island clients.

MORE FLEXIBLE AND DYNAMIC BANQUETS

If the circle of guests is close and they know each other, it would be interesting to leave aside the task of assigning seating for each diner and let them choose their own spot.

On the other hand, we are finally done with the monotonous banquets where guests are seated from start to finish. This upcoming season will be much more common to intersperse activities that provide mobility, creating a more entertaining and spontaneous celebration.

The tableware, another element that will change, and greatly! As more eye-catching colors, such as lilac, green… will be used for glasses and cups, and gold for the tableware.

LESS SERIOUSNESS AND MORE COLOR AND DETAIL

When setting up the tables, everything is thought out, the flowers, centerpieces, silverware, glassware, and wedding details. Nothing will be placed without having been previously studied, as each object has its place and purpose so that people fall in love with the tables and all their details at first sight.

SUSTAINABLE AND CONSCIOUS CATERING

Although it has been important for a while, eco-friendly cooking will boom in 2023. Many companies have become aware of the importance as added value for their customers to care for the environment. In our catering in Mallorca, we are proud to have been pioneers in organizing sustainable caterings with the least environmental impact.

  • Local or Km0 food and ingredients.
  • Vegan, vegetarian menus, options for those with allergies or intolerances will be seen.
  • Emphasis will be placed on zero waste cooking, meaning that waste will be minimized as much as possible.

QUALITY OPEN BAR

Today, you can see open bars of all kinds: beers, coffee, lemonades and even various sweets. But alcohol-free bars will continue to play an essential role in next year’s weddings. But then, what changes? Quality over quantity, first-quality drinks will be offered, served in more sophisticated and visually appealing glasses and cups. Special corners with their bartender will be created.

THE LATEST TREND IN DESSERTS

As is customary, creativity will break with what we are used to. We will continue to see small wedding cakes. But the novelty will be the cakesicles, small mini fake ice creams that are actually cake pops. They are beautiful, delicious, and will create excitement and surprise. Guests will take their first bite thinking they are going to have the typical ice cream, and will be surprised when they realize it is actually the wedding cake.
